In 1943, Frank Jr. and Pauline were married in Los Angeles. After spending a year overseas as a communications’ officer for the Army Air Force in China, Burma and India, Frank spent the next 33 years in public education. He has now retired from education and is a real estate agent in Canon City. Paula their oldest daughter lives in New York City, with her daughter Holly, while working as an actress and nurse. Her son Len is pursuing a business degree at C.S.U. Their youngest daughter Cathy and her husband Stan are in public education in Glenwood Springs, CO.
Memories I have had include: 1) Spending long summer days floating small hand-made sailboats down the irrigation ditches. (And getting into big trouble with Papa for using all his wood!) 2) Defending imaginary forts against enemy attacks (usually smaller cousins), of course the forts were hay stacks. 3) Cozy, sun filled mornings spent on the porch. 4) Searching high and low for the “newborn” kittens. 5) Massive Easter egg hunts with all the cousins. (While feedings egg yolks to either George of Pandy) 6) Listening to long conversations in Italian and not understanding a word of it. 7) Playing train in the kitchen and having too much fun!
