Allen
and Vicki met at Trinidad State Jr. College where they
sang together in the Trojanairs. Allen graduated from
Manitou High School and Vicki from Walsenburg High School.
They got married before their senior year at Adams State
College. The wedding was held at Zion's Lutheran Church
in Trinidad, Colorado on September 5, 1965.
Allen is the son of Alex and Adeline Bachoroski of Manitou
Springs, Colorado where Alex was a dry cleaner. His parents
were Andrew Bachoroski and Julia Wrobel of Cleveland Ohio.
They moved to Cleveland from Austria. Adeline now lives
in Canon City, Colorado and is married to Paul Queen.
Her parents were John Strelau and Susanah Prenzlaff who
moved to Cleveland from West Prussia. Allen's brothers:
David and Dennis live in Colorado Springs. Dennis was
married to Sue until her death in 1981. They had two sons:
Brian and Eric. Dennis is now married to Linda. David
is married to Connie and has Stephanie and Michelle.
Victoria is the daughter of Gus and Mary Cholakos. The
parents of Gus are Anastasious and Panagou Cholakos. The
parents of Mary were George Genls and Minnie Baccash.
The story of Mary is elsewhere this book under "Mary
Cholakos Adams". Mary and Gus owned a grocery store
in Walsenburg, Colorado. After Gus passed away, Mary moved
with the girls to Trinidad. Georgia is married to John
Rino of Trinidad and has two boys, Louis and Dino. Elaine
is married to Stan Colangelo and has two children. The
oldest is Kristen and the youngest is Sonny.
Allen and Vicki lived in Raton, New Mexico for six years
teaching school and had their first child. They then lived
among the Navajo Indians near Shiprock, New Mexico where
Amy went to Kindergarten and Chris joined the family.
At this writing the Bachoroski family has lived in Trinidad
for 15 years, Amy is married to David Gross and works
as an L.P.N. Their children are Jade and Julia Gross.
Chris is works as a builder, a rafting guide and on Ski
slopes. Both have followed their parents love for music
and have been involved in various bands.
Allen has been a public school administrator for the Aguilar
and Primero School Districts and is presently the Upward
Bound Director at Trinidad State Junior College. Vicki
has been an elementary school teacher at Eckhart and Park
Street Elementary Schools in Trinidad. They attend Faith
Christian Fellowship where they are both active.
