Trinidad Film Club

A New Film Club is forming in Trinidad for the purpose of seeing and discussing independent films.

The club has a membership fee of $15.00 per person per year, and this membership includes three free guest “passes“ per year. For this fee, members see one feature film and one short per month. All films are those which have received critical acclaim at major film festivals, either nationally or internationally. These are the films that are hard to find in our area; films that often don’t get much exposure even after winning awards at film festivals.

Films will be shown at the Massari Theatre on the campus of TSJC. All screenings begin at 7:00 PM, and the first is on February 15, 2003. (The Club asks that members arrive by 6:30 on that night so the sign-in process can be completed on time). Future dates will be announced on a monthly basis. Members receive communication regularly regarding the films, scheduling and any other pertinent information. The club is co-sponsored by TSJC, and students come for free. Admission is based on membership, being a guest of a member, or being a student at TSJC.

Driving toward the college on Nevada, turn left on Broom. Pass Pine. Go one block to State. The theatre is on the left, on the corner of State and Broom, across from the Methodist Church.
