Monument Lake

Reading the exchange about Monument Lake brings back fond memories from my growing up years in Trinidad. My father, L. Barron Cordova (former Chief of the Trinidad Fire Department), was an avid fisherman and spent many, many hours fising at the Lake. When I was a little girl and we were there picnicking as a family, he would fish late into the night, coming in off the Lake after nightfall. I was surprised to hear about the monument-rock in the Lake not being there any more! Thanks to all for the shared memories about Monument Lake.

Gloria, do you remember the lodge up there with the giant buffalo head in it and huge fireplaces? I remember your dad and you. Do your remember my granfather, Pete Connell? He and your dad were friends.
