A Celebration of Music and the Arts
Monument Lake Park on Hwy 12, Stonewall, Colorado 12:00 noon until dark 7:00 pm
Gate pass: Adults $5.00- children under 12 are free (bring your own lawn chairs etc. no coolers)
There will be Food and Art Vendors as well as the Beer Garden!
Musicians: Don't miss, Jaquie Gipson at 1:00 pm, then headliner "Tempa and the Tantrums" at 1:30 pm. Other featured artists are Tom Munsch & Johnny Watson, Rafiki and D & A.
Storytellers: 1:00-1:45pm June Valentine, History of Hwy 12
(In the Patio) 2:00-2:45pm Allen Bachoroski, Mountain Men
3:00-3:45pm Bob Parsons, Cowboy Tales
4:00-4:45pm Bob Holder, CO Dept of Wildlife's "The Bear Facts"
Information booths include: American Red Cross disaster relief, Dept. of Wildlife's, operation game thief trailer, Scenic Highway of Legends, Las Animas Chamber of Commerce and more.
Garage Sales will be held that morning along Highway 12 at Segundo Fire Dept., Stonewall Fire Dept., and the Stonewall Shopping Bag. For info call 868-2255. We are still accepting vendors, call 868-3639. Cabins and camping spaces are available, call 868-2226.

I am going to miss this one most likely so have one for me DB. Jacqui is awesome and you will enjoy her music.

US, glad to hear you are doing much better - that was really good news and I wish you a rapid recovery.

By the way, I attended the Stonewall Fall Fest and really enjoyed Jacqui. She was my favorite performer out of all of them. She is truly the master of that guitar. I really enjoyed "Storm Warning", "The Buffalo Song", and "Transition". I could have listened to her music all day long. She only played six songs. The rest of the groups were ok but Jacqui was the best of all of them. The food was awesome and the weather was beautiful - couldn't have asked for a nicer fall day. They had mowed the field in front of the old zoo and hatchery and trimed it all up with a weed-eater so that you can see all the old rock work. Really enjoyed the day and look forward to the next one (its going to be an annual event from what I heard). The scenery from the fest was breath taking. Wish you could have been there!

Wish I could have gone. I love that area. I too will definitely be there next year. Were there still campers around? I think this was the last weekend to camp or is it this coming weekend?

There were a few campers but not a lot. I heard that the last day the resort is open is Oct. 2. The mc said they planned this all on very short notice (nine weeks ago). I gotta hand it to them - they pulled off a great event and I'm sure next year will be even better.
