Mary K. Shaw, 98, died June 21, 2006, in Trinidad. She was born November 17, 1907, in Poland to Anton Pachorek and Frances (Pituch) Pachorek. She came to the United States with her parents when she was 10 months old.
She attended school in Sopris. When her father died, she went to work at the Grand Hotel. She then worked at Hausman Drug Store. Mary wrote and spoke Polish, English and Spanish. She married Angus Shaw.
She is preceded in death her parents, her husband and brothers Frank, Tony, Steve, Felix and sister Stephanie Chapman.
She is survived by her brother Joe (Sue) Pachorek and sister Wanda Pachorek, all of Trinidad, sister-in-law Catherine Teague, Pueblo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 26, 2006, at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home Chapel.
The family has entrusted the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
