Carmella Cozzetti, age 88, passed away on August 11, 2003. She was born on August 23, 1914 in Aguilar, Colo. to Angelo Cacciatore and Grazia Massari . She was married on September 13, 1936 to Tony Cozzetti at St. Anthony's Parish. Carmella was a lifetime resident of Aguilar. She was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She loved being around her family and friends. She attended services faithfully at St. Anthony's Parish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Grazia, husband, Tony, sister Mary Cacciatore, brothers, Joseph, Carlo and Johnny Cacciatore, nieces Dorothy Merritt, Marie Pfaffenhauser, Maxie Micek, nephews Keith Cozzetti, Ben and Jim Brocato, Larry Bassetti, sister-in-law Carmella Brocato and other numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is survived by brother Andrew (Elvira) Scuzzaro of Aguilar, sister Mary Rossetti Sebastiani of Arkansas, sister-in-law Anna Cacciatore of Aguilar, nephews Richard (Rose Marie) Cozzetti of Canon City, Bruce (Barbara) Merritt of Pueblo West, Jason Cirone of Trinidad, Andrew (Elaine) Scuzzaro of Aguilar, Daniel (Vicki) Scuzzaro of Aguilar, Harry and Brian Scuzzaro of Aguilar, Gary (Nora) Bassetti of Lafayette, Chris (Shawna) Bassetti of Thornton, Mark (Brin) Bassetti of Westminister, Sam Brocato of Denver, nieces Grace Bassetti of Thornton, Patty (Richard) Fetch of Texas, Lois (Anthony) Cirone of Trinidad, Marie Johnson of Aguilar, Lynette Cirone of Raton, NM, Denise Cirone of Trinidad, Erna Jean (Angelo) Mattarano of Aguilar, Jeanenne Gordon of Trinidad State Nursing Home, Ed Velasquez of Aguilar who was a very good friend and like a son to her. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 13 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Parish in Aguilar, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Anthony's Parish in Aguilar.
They will be receiving condolences at the visitation and the dinner following the services. The dinner is to be held at St. Anthony's Parish Hall after the services.
The family of Carmella Cozzetti has entrusted the arrangements to the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home.
