AngelNBarb, Juan Bautista Martin(ez) and Maria Viviana Trujillo are also my 3rd great grandparents through their son Nicolas (de Jesus) Martin and Maria Manuela Espinosa. I will have to go thru the rest of the names that you have in your post but for right now believe that Juan Pablo Montoya is Jose Paulo Montoya. Below is a partial on Jose Paulo Montoya and Maria Dolores Medina showing their parents names.

G-* * 4 July 1840 Jose Paulo 6 days old,son of Manuel Montoya and Meregilda Espinosa.Pads:Pedro Duran and Maria del Carmen Lopes.

Jose Paulo Montoya Married Maria Dolores Medina who was Baptised 28 Feburary 1847 Hija de Geronimo Medina and Maria Estefana Fresquis.PGP:Pomucenio Medina and Candelaria Vigil.MGP:Juaquin Fresuis and Rosalia Duran.Pads:Jose Leonor Fresquis and Maria Gertrudes Pacheco,Vecinos del San Antonio del Penasco.

I am searching for any data on Juan Pablo Montoya
and Maria Dolores Medina. Especially the parents
of Juan Pablo. I am hoping they are listed in
    the following data:

AKA: Juan Paulo de Montoya. I have searched for
a marriage certificate or baptismal records for
Juan and have come out empty. I need a missing link.
I would appreciate anything you will be able to find.

    Pedro Montoya
Christening: 23 February 1869 at Holy Cross Catholic,
Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This family is also listed in the
    Church Records 1726-1956
Catholic Church, Holy Cross, Santa Cruz, NM.

In researching San Lorenzo de Picuris Baptisms,
    1750-1867, I find two entries:

? Apr 1864 Jose Ysabel, 4 days, son of Juan Paulo
de Montoya and Dolores Medina. PGP MGP not listed.
GP Francisco Montoya and Maria Gertrudis Chaves

8 Oct 1866 Marcos, 6 days, son of Juan Montoya
and Maria Dolores Medina, PGP MGP not listed
GP Jose Prudencio Martinez and Maria Ysavel

IMONTOLLA, Maria Juanita & Jose Remigio VALDEZ
Farmington, New Mexico by: Barbara Gonzalez

    Hello,

Here is the condensed version of our find, and what we
will need to seal a long search.

My Grandmother, Maria Juana Montolla, is the daugher of Juan
Pablo Montoya and Maria Dolores Medina. Albinita is Debbie's
Martinez' side of the family. Juanita and Albinita Montolla/Montoya,are sisters.

    Juan Pablo MONTOLLA
could be the son of Ramon Montoya and Maria Dolores Tujillo
baptized 8 March 1835 at Santa Cruz De la Canada, Santa Fe,
    New Mexico.

Ramon Montoya and Dorotea Trujillo. Their children were
baptized at Santa Cruz De La Canada, Santa Fe. Their son
Juan Pablo Montoya was baptized 8 March 1835. He was married
at the same church 10 November 1861 to Maria Dolores Sanchez.
She could have been a young widow. We would need to see the
original record on microfilm to see if that is the case.
Maria Dolores Trujillo baptized, 8 March 1835, at Santa Cruz
de la Canada, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

He could also be the son of Manuel Montoya and Meregilda
Espinosa (baptized 4 July 1840) as Jose Paulo Montoya at
Mission De San Lorenzo De Picuris.

Manuel Montoya and Meregilda Espinosa. Their son Jose Paolo
Montoya was baptized 4 July 1840. That record we saw at a data
base in Colorado, said he married Maria Dolores Medina, daughter
    of Geronimo Medina and

Maria Estefana Fresquis. No marriage data was provided.

Karen from Colorado City gave material on Juan Pablo Montoya
born in 1864. According to Karen Moore, she states that Karen
of Colorado had not checked the burial dates. It was a Jose Pablo
Montoya that was born to Manual Montoya and Hermeregilda Espinosa.
And he died six months after birth. Manuel Vincente de lose Dolores
Montoya, bpt. 1 July 1792 and wife Hermenegilda Espinosa.

She also does not think that Juan Pablo Montoya is descended
from Ramon Montoya and Isabel Armenta. That particular Juan
pablo married Maria Dolores (SANCHEZ). She found their marriage
date in 1862 in Santa Cruz, but she did not copy and send it to
us. DO YOU HAVE THIS AVAILIABLE. Her father was NOT Geronimo.
They had a daughter Maria LIBRADA born in 1869 in Santa Cruz.

Deberah and I believe that the parents of Our Maria Dolores
Medina are definately Geronimo and Maria Estefan Frequis.
    Taos Baptisms 1701-1860 Page 538 & 539. by Thomas D. Martinez.

She was living in her father's hourse in 1860. This could mean
whe was married by this time. In 1880 Census, she was living in
Llano, Taos, New Mexico FHL fILM 1254804, FILM T9-0804, Page 265A

I found an entry in a 40 year CD I bought. Has some listing on
Taos County marriages. On page 50, there is a mention of Fresquis,
Antonio Jose, widow, and Fernandez, Maria Estefan, 25 March 1863
by Antonio Jose Martinez Page 6. Our Maria Estefana Fresquis is
the mother of Maria Dolores Medina, who married Geronimo Medina.

    Names always give leads.

Other source: Film or Fiche Number 0016964 1726-1956 Catholic
Church, Holy Cross, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The deciding factor would be the marriage record for
Juan Pablo or Jose Pablo Montoya/Montolla to Maria Dolores Medina. The marriage would probably would have occured in 1862. Marriage: any where from 1859 through 1863. Maria Dolores Medina: 0016868 Source

Raymundo Montolla, Jose Exelso Montoya, and Albina
    Montoya. Film: 0016964 Batch C512792. 1872 Baptisms.

Their first child Jose Ysabel Montoya was baptized at
the Mission de San Lorenzo De Picuris in April 1864.

Frank Montoya and wife (Maria) Gertrudez are the godparent
of Juan Paolo Montoya and Maria Dolores Medina's child Jose
    Ysabel Montoya.

This family is listed on the same page with Juan Montoya
and Dolores Medina in the 1870 Census Precinct #10 Quimado,
Santa Fe, New Mexico Page 19. Also, Maria Gertrudez's maiden
name is Chavez. Francisco Monotya and wife Gertrudis were in
the Town of Potrero, North of Chimallo, Rio Arriba County,
New Mexico in the 1880 Census.

    Cinnamonlollypop-

Karen Moore posted a family tree of a Ramon Montoya and
Maria Dolores Trujillo, had a son Juan Pablo Montoya baptized
in 1835 at Santa Cruz De la Canada at Santa Fe. One of their
other sons is Jose Francisco Antonio Montoya born 1837, who
married Maria Gertrudis de Jesus CHAVES, this is the couple
who were godparents to Joe Ysabel Montoya (Juan and Dolores
Montoya's first child). If you have access to a marriage
record on them, that is another option to look into.

Maria Dolores Medina, daughter of Geronimo Media and Maria
Estefania Fresquis was in the 1850 Census. She would have
married Jose Paolo (Juan Pablo) Montoya between December
1860 and November 1863. Son Jose Ysabel was born April ? 1864.

1880 Census: Llano Taos, N. M. Two children Raymundo and
Concicion. albinia Montoya was not mention, she was born
1877, she should have been with her parents, she may have
been with a relative, as Concepcion with just a baby.

13 June 1900 San Juan County, New Mexico Census: (Blanco).
Juan Pablo may have been born on January 1840 60 yrs old.
Maria Dolores Medina born on August 1844, married 35 years
states she had 5 children. Also listed was Ramondo Jan 1874,
    (Raymundo), and Juanita, my Grandmother.

AKA: Joannis Pablo Montoya it Doloritatis Medina.

Recent records state Maria Dolores Medina was christened
on 24 February 1847 at San Lorenzo De Picuris, TAOS, New
Mexico. Hija de Geronimo Medina and Maria Estefana Fresquis.
PGP: Pomucenio Medina and Candelaria Vigil. MGP: Juaquin
Fresquis and Rosalia Duran. Padrinos: Jose Leonor Fresquis
and Maria Gertrudes Pacheco, Vecinos del San antonio de
Penasco. Have probate on Maria Rosalie Duran. Geronimo
    Medina is mentioned among others.

Dodie, those who know me will tell you I am never disappointed with any help given. The smallest favor is truly appreciated by me, and I know what it is to give a helping hand. I also have come this far by the help of fellow genealogists who have given many hours in helping me find sources I never could have found. All it takes is one name, or a date, or a place to send me surfing the net also.[|)]

Thanks for your help, I truly welcome all you have done thus far.

According to PKelly above heres the info you need:

Maximo's father is Jose Dolores Trujillo and his mother is Maria Trinidad Lavidia. The name Lavidia is the hispanicized version of the French name Labadie or L'Abadie as was ofter done by the priests. Juana Maria Lucero, according to my research, parents were Jose Trinidad Lucero, and Maria Louisa Ortelano.

Hi Dodie, I'm new to this forum and the program function. I have been searching for any connections to my Espinosas who were original colonists from Abiquiu, NM to Agua Mansa, CA in 1842. Cayetano Hipolito de Jesus Espinosa,b1800 my gggrand father & son Jose Manuel Espinos b1821 who married Maria Ygnacia Atencio b1842. I'm wondering if you have any connections to these Espinosas; they also arrived with Martinez/Trujillo family members.

I see that you are an administrator. Don't know if this applies to the specific forum or how you function. I live in Ramona; perhaps we could meet for coffee and discuss genealogy. You can reply at: [email protected]
