I have been paying 1.99 for the last 3 weeks. Traveled 5 hours south to the coast and got gas down there for a 1.99 too. Before I left gas had jumped a penny.
What is up with Trindad having no change in the prices. Is it called lack of competition?
We are paying $2.49 a gallon for premium around here. Gas went up by about .40 cents a gallon after the election.
I just back from Trinidad and when I got home, it was $2.39 here in Farmington. threelazyl

Kimberly - yes - there is one person here who has a monopoly on all the gas stations in the city limits and all the suppliers in the surrounding area. Prices have not changed in about six weeks. That's all I will say.
Ophelia. . . . I grew up in Trinidad. . . . I knew the answer before I asked the question. . . . just wondered if ya'll knew the scoop.
Here was our latest discussion in September regarding this topic:

actually the gasamat on east main and the mirastar by wal-mart are not affiliated yet their prices are really not much lower.
wonder why.
The Gasamat was "affiliated" earlier this summer. That company supplies Mirastar and others in the area and "asks" that they comply with their pricing.
ophelia, you go girl ! Open up a can of WHUP A** on them mean old oil and gas companies !
