George Long & Mollie Thompson Walden Long

I am presently reading microfilm records of the Baptismal Registry from the Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad,that I obtained through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. On it I found my great-grandmother Maria Rebeca Long and her younger sister Maria (Ashnah) were baptized on 28 July 1888. Their parents were listed as Gorge Long and Moele Tompson. This is the information I've been looking for to verify their connection.

I highly recommend this microfilm for researching all Spanish families in the area. A copy of the church records are available in the Carnegie Library in Trinidad, as well.

Do you know of the book by, Janice McElfresh Brannon, that was published in 2003 called, "The Longs and Thompsons of Taos and Trinidad"? Maybe you can get more information from there.

Alice Romero posted the information above back in 2005, so I don't know if the address is still accurate, but it's worth trying to contact the author.
