Hey Michele!! That could be an assortment of things...1st step would be to follow the speaker cables With the PC off ...they should not be against other power carrying cords such as usb cables or electrical cords...Again with the PC off unplug the speakers from the PC and check that the plug is not damaged in any way and then of course plug it back in firmly...This alone may solve the problem. Please try this part out and let me know how it goes.[8D]

I did that and they seemed fine. Altho today once again my computer usb ports froze up so I had to take the pc apart, take the internal battery out and then rest the um whatever settings from the setup screen.
I kow nothing about computers but I wing it really well, Anyway after doing that the noise stopped. So I guess I should count my blessings till next time it happens huh. ;)
    Feeling better?

    Michelle,
Glad that helped. Your USB trouble...could be that you are over loading the PC's power output...If the PC is 3 or more years old you may be asking it to use the USB ports too much...take a look at all the things happening...each USB port draws power...the CD and DVD drives draw power, the speakers draw power...you may consider a dedicated plug for JUST the PC and none of the peripherals. It could also be other things like the power supply is giving out. They are inexpensive and easy to replace if it is the case...
