Lucille M. Gallegos, 87, died Jan. 15, 2010. She was born July 17, 1922, in Longs Canyon to Evangeline (Montano) and Leo Medina.
She attended various school including Trinidad State Junior College and Adams State College, receiving her B.A. in Education. She received her Masters Degree from the University of Southern Colorado.
A longtime educator, Lucille was a member of the Senior Citizen Center, Genealogy Society and Sociedad de Nuestra de Senora Guadalupe.
Preceding her in death by parents , daughter-in-law Caroline Gallegos and sister Eutemia Duran.
She is survived by son Joe L. Gallegos, Whittier, Calif., grandsons Glenn (Raquel) Gallegos and John Gallegos, of California, great grandchildren Michael and Danielle Gallegos, sister, Margaret (Nash) Vigil, Denver, nephew, Ernie Duran of Arizona and other relatives and many dear friends.
Rosary will be Friday, Jan. 22 at 9:15 a.m. at the Comi Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Inurnment will follow at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction the Comi Funeral Home.
