    George W. Thompson

I'm a direct descendent of George W. Thompson's older brother Doctor Alfred Thompson of Durango. I would be very interested in sharing Thompson family information with others. The George W. Thompson I'm concerned with was born in 1837 in Tennessee, lived in Sopris, married Maria Guadalupe Long Bent in 1867 in Taos, and died in 1910 in Pueblo and from what I understand is buried in Trinidad. He was the sheriff of Las Animas County in 1873 and was a county commissioner. I understand he may have some descendents still living in the area. I did see some information on here on his wife and her family but not as much on him. Thank you.

    Jim C -

Since you are a direct descendent of the Thompsons, can you give me some background on George W.'s sister, Malinda Thompson Nance's family? For instance, where she and her husband Stephen Nance were after they were in Harper County, Kansas in 1885??? Where they died and where they are buried?

Thanks for anything you can help me with, Jim

I sent you a PM. Unfortunately those two seem to have disappeared following 1885.
