Pauline Margaret Casias,91, passed away July 13, 2010, at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
She was born in Sweetwater, N.M. to Elizabeth (Lang) and Manuel Casias.
Pauline was raised by her grandmother, Pauline Lang in Cimarron, N.M.
On July 2, 1937, Pauline was united in marriage to Desiderio Casias. Together they moved to the Trinidad area where her husband was employed as a coal miner in the Valdez and Allen mines.
She loved to dance, play cards and cook.
Pauline was also an avid reader and watched the news, keeping up on current events.
Her greatest joy was her family with who she loved being and visiting with.
Preceding her in death are parents, Manuel and Elizabeth Lang; grandmother, Pauline Lang; husband, Desiderio Casias; two infant sons; son, Anthony Casias; granddaughters, Yvonne Vargas and Olivia Lopez and brothers, Edward and Ernie Casias.
Survivors are daughter, Felice Dunn, Raton, N.M.; Florence A. (Philip) Cruz, Trinidad, with whom Pauline resided with for the past four years; Rosemarie (George) Romero, Trinidad; grandchildren, Carla, Kathy, Evelyn, Christine, Dee Dee, Paula, Toni, Natalie and Nathan; numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was Thursday, July 15, at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel. Vigil Rites followed at Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Jimmy Casias, Richard Casias, Manuel Casias, Henry LeDoux, Gene Vecellio and Nate Cruz.
Family may be contacted at the Cruz residence at 1608 Aiello St. and the Romero residence 909 Prospect St.
