Carl "POPO" Veltri, 55, died Friday, July 16, 2010.

Carl "POPO" Veltri, 55, of Trinidad, died as the result of an accident on July 16, 2010. He was born in Trinidad on December 26, 1954, to Carlo and Bernie Veltri.

Carl was preceded in death by Grandparents, father, and Godmother Louise Hofferber.

He is survived by his mother, Bernie, brother J.D. DiGarbo, uncle Ron Hofferber, niece Deidre (Clint) Eatmon, and her children Katelynn(SS), Spencer , numerous friends and customers.

Carl graduated from Primero High School in 1973, and attended Wyoming Technical Institute.
He worked for Montgomery Ward Automotive, was a Las Animas County Sheriff's Department
Deputy from 1978 to 1994, purchased the Arizona Liquor Store in 1994, and was a member of the
Trinidad Jaycees. He loved being outdoors, camping, boating, fishing and photography.

Visitation will be Friday, July 23, 2010, at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home
with Father Richard Becker officiating.

Interment will follow at the Trinidad Masonic Cemetery.

The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
