Gloria Patricia (Patsy) Romero, 65, of Trinidad, passed away suddenly after a brief illness Dec. 3, 2010.
Gloria was born in Waterville April 18, 1945, to Jose George and Elsie F. Romero.
Gloria was a CNA for over 40 years, working at Mt. San Rafael Hospital, the V.A. Nursing Home in Walsenburg and Trinidad State Nursing Home.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents Jose George and Elsie F. Romero, husband Donald L. Romero, son Donald J Romero, father-in-law, Leandro Romero, motherin- law Mary Romero, sister Betty Segura and brother George (Georgie) Romero.
Gloria is survived by daughter, Anna Romero, Trinidad, grandchildren Phillip Romero, T.J. Baca, Malachi Baca, Dominique Romero, Angelo Romero, J.D. Tafoya and Travis Romero., sisters Joanne (Ben) Aragon, Trinidad, Lena (Rigo) Mendoza, Rocky Ford, Mary (Gary) Jackson, Denver, brothers Leonard Romero, Lawrence (Peggy) Romero, Rocky Ford, Frank (Linda) Romero, Edward (Vicki) Romero, Denver, George (Cindy) Romero, Garden City, Kan., David Martinez, Trinidad, sister-in- law, Theresa (Gus) Garcia, Denver, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends.
Gloria will be missed by “special” family, Linda (Steve) Sandoval, Anita Rael, Dolores Cordova and Salas Family.
Funeral Mass wasWednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 at Holy Trinity Church.
Active pallbearers were her nephews, Ronald Sisneros, James Vigil, Vince Bernal, Joseph and Geno Sanchez and Clifford Evett.
Cremation to follow and private inurnment will be at a later date at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
