Bette H. Arguello went with the Lord Jan. 11, 2011, at Trinidad State Nursing Home. Bette (Elizabeth Helen Martin), was born in Segundo June 14, 1923, to Teresa Koch and Eugene Martin. Bette retired from Trinidad State Nursing Home after 21 years as an LPN. She also worked at the CF&I Company Store in Valdez for 13 years.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish all her life. Being baptized into the Catholic faith at age 32, was a very important moment in Bette’s life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Teresa Martin, sisters, Natalie (Dolly) Trujillo and Marie Selvey, nephew, Robert (Bob) Palmero, grandsons, Bobby Palmero Jr., Justin Zavala and very dear and special friend Carl M. Johnson.
Survivors are son, Deacon Phil (Elvira) Martin Sr., daughter, Glenda (Michael) McMaster, Nathalie (Larry) Duran, special nephew Joseph (Sandy) Trujillo. Grandson Phil Jr. (Samantha) Martin, granddaughter Rebecca (Kevin) Morales, Desiree (Ryan) Sheldon, grandson Christopher Lawless, granddaughters Larice (Jack) Wojewski, Jessica (Eric) Haigh, great grandsons Luke and Manuel Pedraza, Kelvin Morales, great granddaughter Samantha Cruz, great grandsons Roan Sheldon, Benjamin, Jacob and Oliver Wojewsk, Andrew and Tristan Haigh, Lynelle (Brady) Legerski, Audra and Clint Palmero.
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mullare Murphy Funeral Home. Vigil service will be Sunday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Funeral will be Monday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
