Frank Veltri, 86, of Trinidad was called home to rest with our Lord on July 23, 2011. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 8, 1925, to Eleanor (Mantelli) and Fiore Veltri. He and his family moved to Trinidad when he was five.
On June 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marlene (Fouret) at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Being a master of all trades, he entertained many occupations in his early years. In 1940 his father established Veltri Contractors. Later Frank and John entered into the partnership.
Frank was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Fiore and Eleanor, and his son, Michael.
Survivors are wife, Marlene; sons, George (Sandy), and Frank (Donna) and daughter-in-law, Dana, and brother, John (Helen). Grandchildren include: Lori (Terry) Freson, Alex (Ashleigh), Kevin, Chris, Victoria and Megan Veltri and great-granddaughter, Madison. Loving brother and sister-in-laws include George (Liz) Fouret and Alberta (Jim) Kerby. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special cousin, Sylvia Mantelli.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mullare Murphy Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., at Mullare Murphy’s. Funeral will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a funeral mass celebrated by Fr. Kenny Udumka.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
