From Bernice Lopez Waddington:
"I last saw Paul at the 1994 GSHA conference in Trinidad when we sat together at a luncheon. Paul and his wife Ernestine (Rivera) lived near my sister and her family in Trinidad, so he was good friends with my brother in law, and their children played together.
Paul was the son of Emiterio Madrid and Emilia Grant. Paul was a teacher in and around Trinidad schools. He and Ernestine had eight or more children, I knew the older ones because they were the same ages as my nieces and nephews so were friends and playmates. The children I knew were Cecelia (Hayes) now living in Denver, David, John, and Leonard. Some of the others were Michael, Irene, Ernest. He had two sisters, Sally, Susanna that I know of.
When I saw Paul in '94, he told me he was remarried.
Paul was a very nice man. He attended Adams State College with my brother. I knew Ernestine's parents because they lived near my sister, as well. Paul was a member of GSHA and belonged to the Trinidad group. There is an obituary in the Nuestras Raices journal."
Thank you Dodie and Bernice. This is a big help. Dodie just a bug in your ear. There are 2 Charlene Aragons on this site. myself in Pueblo and Charlene Aragon-Brumfield in Colo. Springs. We laugh when people get us mixed up :) We've met in a few conferences. She forward the message you sent her. Thanks again Dodie.
