Von Michael Vigil went to live with his heavenly father July 18, 2012. He was born Jan. 9, 1990, in Trinidad to Lacretia Cheryl Lewis Vigil Edwards and John Leroy Vigil.
Von spent his childhood in the Raton and Trinidad area. He attended schools in the area and graduated with a high school diploma.
Von and Jazimond Trujillo met in their early years. Finding their soul mate and having their precious angel Albinita Trujillo Vigil (Bena). They grew together as a family sharing their lives. Von loved his family dearly.
He worked for Cummings Processing as a foreman in the plant. He helped his grandparents at the ranch. He worked in construction for Arm N Hammer, was a licensed dog breeder, and also worked in food service and became an excellent cook.
Von enjoyed family, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, music, and helping others. He was devoted to his country, family, and friends. We love our Von and will miss his sweet spirit.
Von was preceded in death by his grandparents Toby and Angie Salas and mother-in-law Rochelle Trujillo.
Von is survived by his wife Jazimond, daughter and angel Bena and a little one on the way. He is also survived by his parents John Leroy Vigil (Jodie) of Burlington, Colo., and Lacretia Cheryl Lewis Vigil Edwards (Ronald) of Trinidad, brothers Johnny (Jessica) and Dawson Vigil, sisters Chrissy (Mark) Miera, Erin Vigil, Gianna Vigil, grandparents Fred and Joy Cummings Niccoli of Raton, niece Ivy Miera and nephews Mark Miera Jr. and Mark Vigil.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Raton with President Nelson officiating. Rite of committal and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements for Von Michael Vigil are under the direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral home of Raton.
