Lemuel And Dora Brown

Dora West Brown was my great grandmother's sister. Dora and Lemuel are buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Trinidad. They had 2 daughters that I know about, Alta E. Brown born 1901 and Frances W Brown born 1905 in Michigan.

Lemuel was born in 1864 in Canada, died 11 Aug 1950
Dora E West was born 1869 in Michigan died in 1948

I have found the tombstone on Find-a-grave. It is a very nice stone, says Mother & Father. I am hoping that someone has information on this family or have access to records in Trinidad. My best hope is that I can find some of their descendants.

I have been searching for 12 years. I am hoping someone in Trinidad can help.

MRS. DORA BROWN OF TRINIDAD PASSED AWAY WEDNESDAY P.M.
Mrs. Dora Brown of 1015 Imperial Street, this city, and resident of Trinidad since 1908, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Mount San Rafael Hospital. She had been ill since February 1. She was 79 years old.

Mrs. Brown was born in Wayland, Mich., September 8, 1868, and was a member here of the Christian Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Brown and two daughters Mrs. Fain R. Arnold of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Frank Feister of Carlin, Nevada. Sister is Mrs. Gertrude Evans of Portland, Ore.

Campbell Lewis Mortuary was today notified of the death of Lemuel Brown, a former Trinidad resident, who passed away at Waldport, Oregon on Monday of this week and that the body will be forwarded to this city. No details of his death were communicated. He has two daughters, Mrs. Frances Fiester of Waldport, and Mrs. Eldorita Arnold of Portland, Or.

Lemuel died August 8, 1950. He was a retired plasterer.



Deceased was the husband of the late Mrs. Dora Brown, who passed away here, February 4, 1948. He went to Waldport soon afterward to live with his daughter.
