What are the property taxes and sales taxes in the Trinidad area?
I live in calif. our income taxes are 10%,sales are 8.5% and property
taxes are about a 1000.$ per 100,000.$ of value.
Also what are the gun laws like? Calif. is a gun owners hell now
they want to put serial numbers on bullets.And you better keep your
guns locked in a safe.If a kid under 18 steals a gun from your home
you could be charged with a felony.

You certainly will find property taxes a bit cheaper. They are lot less than in Houston. Here I pay $3600 in taxes per year for a home valued at $119,000. Our vacant land outside of Trinidad was valued last year at about $15,000 and our taxes were about $170. They have revalued our land for next year--awaiting tax statement.

By the way, I understand that Colorado will accept a Texas conceled handgun carry license. If they have such in California, they probably will accept that also. I found that on a web site, but I don't remember which one.
