So my Grandfather tells this story about Trinidad when he was younger. I'm trying to find out if this is a true story, or just one of his tall tales....if anyone has any input, I'd LOVE to hear it!!
He claims that back in the day...and I'm not sure how far back...him and his father stopped at a restaurant in Trinidad and ordered steaks. When his Father cut into it and took a bite, he said...this isn't beef. He stopped the waiter and gave his concern that the steak was not a beef steak. The waiter insisted that it was. He took another bite, as did my Grandfather, and they both agreed...it wasn't beef. So they paid without taking another bite. Several days later, they read in the paper about the owner of the restaurant who had killed his wife, and served her body in his diner.
Any truth to this story!?? My Grandfather loves telling stories, and we usually try to dig and find out if they're true or not...any help would be great!!
Cheers
Lori
