Catherine (Curro) Battistone, went home to spend Christmas with Jesus Dec. 24, 2010, at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheatridge. Catherine was born in Trinidad May 21, 1934, to Antoinette and Joseph Curro.

She was employed as the office manager of the local cable office for numerous years. Catherine was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She was preceded in death by parents, Antoinette and Joseph Curro, sister Mary Navara and brother Domenic Curro.

Survivors are husband John Battistone, daughter and son-in-law Johnalin (Orville) Zimmerman, granddaughters Giana and Alyssa, sister Sara Apple, sisters-in-law, Dorathy Battistone, Perina Hughes, Marguerite Curro and numerous nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

She held a very special place in her heart for special family friends, Sandra and Ellis Trivett, Josephine Tamburelli and her lifelong friends and classmates of the 5 & 2 Club, Mary Rose Monarco, Anne Passarelli, Anna Risley, Mary Lou Girodo and Mary Rose Mattorano.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 3, from 3 - 7 p.m. at Comi Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 5 & 2 Club.

Active pallbearers are nephews, Jim LaPlatt, Bill Volturo, Buck Apple, Joseph Navara Jr., Butch Curro, Carl Apple, John Curro and Dave Curro.
