My grandfather is Salvatore(Sam) Di Fatta. I am having much difficulty in finding information about him. I did find a Samuel Difatta, on Kansas Ave., Trinidad, CO in a US City Directory. Would anyone know if this is a correct address?

I have recently found out that the Sam Di Fatta that you listed as arriving in Louisianna is not my grandfather. There is a Sam Di Fatta that did arrive there and is buried in LA. My grandfather is buried in Las Animas County Cemetery. I do appreciate the info tho !!!

SAM DE FATO PASSED AWAY AT HOSPITAL
Sam De Fato, 57 years of age, resident of Trinidad for 24 years, passed away at the local hospital at 10:30 last night after an illness of 14 months.
Deceased was born in Cosenza, Italy in 1880 and came to this country in 1902. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Teresa De Fato ; five daughters and four sons. Daughters are Mrs. M. C. Reed of Manitou, Colorado, Mrs. Charles Johnson of San Bernardino, Calif.; Josephine, Carmen and Charlotte De Fato of Trinidad. Sons are Charles, Pete, John and Sam De Fato of Trinidad. Mother of the deceased is Mrs. Salvatore De Fato of Jersey City, N. J. Two brothers, Charles and Nash De Fato, reside at Hattiesburg, Miss. There are three sisters, one in Italy, one at Baltimore, Md., and one at Starkville.
Funeral will take place Monday from the drawing room of the Mullare Funeral Home and 9 o'clock from the Catholic church. Interment in the Catholic cemetery. Rosary Sunday evening at 7:30 at the Mullare Funeral Home.
NOTE: Find a Grave has him listed as being buried in the Las Animas County Cemetery.
