Ophelia (Faye) Bueno Gonzales, 93, passed away peacefully Aug. 11, 2012.

She was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Starkville to Epifanio and Maclovia (Pacheco) Bueno.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Seven Stitch Club and a honorary member of The Sociedad De Nuestra Senora De Gaudalupe & La Confederacion.

Ophelia was a devoted and loving wife and mother of nine children. Her family was her passion. Ophelia is most remembered by her children for her quick wit and humor, her wonderful cooking, her inner strength, hard work and the unfailing love and kindness she showed to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Epifanio and Maclovia Bueno, her husband of 53 years, Reuben Gonzales, son, Anthony (Wolf)) Gonzales, sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Pat Trujillo; brothers, Max and Elmer Bueno; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony (Bessie) Gonzales, Filbert (Rose) Gonzales and Frank Gonzales; sons-in-law, Royce Coffey and Mike McKenney.

Ophelia is survived by five daughters: Cleo Coffey (Ray) of Agoura Calif.; Priscilla McKenney of El Monte Calif.; Eleanor Vigil (James) of Trinidad; Linda Thompson (Jack) of San Diego; Arlene Bowman (Albert) of Arvada; three sons, Harold Vialpando (Margarita) of Denver; Ruben Gonzales (Sara) of Trinidad; Steve Gonzales (Nora) of Arvada; 23 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren, 33 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Ophelia will be as follows: visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 2-6 p.m. at Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home, 335 E. Main Street, Trinidad, CO, 81082 Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Friday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church; Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
